Installing Your Swing Set

Step 1

Read your step-by-step, fully illustrated plans carefully before beginning any work.

Be careful not to deviate from the plans or change the design in any way.

Step 2

Measure and cut all of your lumber.

Refer to the detailed cutting guides provided with your unit.

Step 3

Assemble your swing set.

Simply follow the detailed instructions to perform the final assembly of your swing set.

Note: Please follow our assembly instructions carefully. They are designed to meet or exceed ASTM safety standards.


Step 4

Make sure you have a safe play environment.

Make sure you have the minimum use zone as specified in the assembly plan.

To ensure complete safety, make sure you have provided safety surfacing as recommended by the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission (found in your assembly plans). This surfacing material comes in a variety of forms (such as sand or wood chips) and is purchased separately.

General list of tools you will need:

Hand tools:
Socket wrench/sockets, hammer, phillips screwdriver, tape measure,
pliers, 5/16" x 8" drill bit, 1-1/8" spade bit, shovel, square

Power tools:
Electric or cordless drill, circular saw

Other materials you will need:
Safety glasses, water seal, landscape fabric, surfacing material,
landscape timbers
